Keurig K-Cups

IMG_9485 keurig stack

Keurig coffee brewers are a popular new way to brew individual cups of coffee, and now you can drink your favorite Jackie’s Java blends using your Keurig! Each box comes with 12 k-cups, and works with any Keurig brewer- even the new Keurig 2.0!! As always, our K-cups are filled with the best 100% Specialty Grade Arabica beans Jackie can find. 100% hand picked beans, roasted in small batches at our warehouse in Fort Collins, and ALL of our blends are Post Roast Blended.

Our Commitment to the Environment

We pride ourselves on being environmentally friendly. We source coffees directly from farmers as much as possible We give away ALL of our burlap bags our coffee beans come in to whoever wants them, usually local Fort Collins farmers. And we reach out to people who can use the chaff (the coffee skin that comes off during roasting) for composting, chickens, and farming in the community. We also deliver most of our coffees in an all-electric powered vehicle. So when many of our customers were asking us to start making K-Cups, we were torn since K-Cups aren’t necessarily known for being environmentally friendly. But, we have found many ways to make our K-Cups better for the environment.

  • Our boxes are all made from post-consumer recycled materials and they are recyclable.
  • All of our cups are Intelligent Blend’s Award Winning #5 Recyclable Cups, which have been recognized for their environmentally friendliness and sustainability efforts.
  • Our cups are made with Polyproplene instead of Polystyrene. PP actually holds out moisture 10x better than PS and PP produces 30% less greenhouse gas emissions than PS.
  • Our lids are recyclable and the filters are 83% compostable.
  • Starting in 2017, we will have new packaging with an easy pull tab on the lid to make it easier to disassemble the cups and recycle!

So, if you’re an environmentally conscious person and you still want to use K-Cups, all you have to do is put the filter in the compost and take the lid and the cup and put it in the recycle. And with our new easy-to-pull lids, it is going to be even easier to disassemble your cups and take care of the environment!
