For our first season specialty coffee, we got in an AMAZING estate grown coffee from the Huehuetenango region of Guatemala. It is dark roasted- but not as dark as a french roast. Just dark enough to bring out the sweet aftertaste. This coffee is velvety rich and creamy. We hope you enjoy this limited selection!

History: The farm was established in 1955 by Don Hugo Chavez Mendez, one of the pioneers in Huehue who led the way in replacing much of the old corn production of the region with coffee. The farm was originally planted almost entirely with Bourbon, and many of those original plantings and their seedstock are still producing today.
